Install Office Apps on an IPad

In order to install Office Apps on your IPad first browse to https://portal.microsoftonline.com

Then enter your username in the format username@lsuhsc.edu

When you place the cursor in the password field your session will redirect to LSUHSC Single Sign On authentication page.

Again enter your username in the format username@lsuhsc.edu and your LSUHSC password.

If you are connected to LSUHSC wireless, the prompt to authenticate may look different. Enter your username in the format username@lsuhsc.edu and enter your LSUHSC password.

Now logged in to the software portal click the link on the left for Phone & tablet.

Click IPad.

Click Get apps button.

Click the arrow shaped link next to Word, Excel and Powerpoint, or click the Download on the App Store button.

You may be promted to log into the App Store.

The App Store application is launched and to install click the get button above details. This screenshot is from an account that has already installed the software once before and so the icon is a cloud with a downward pointing arrow.

Here the link for Excel has been clicked and Excel is downloading. When the square pause button changes to a button that says Open, then the application is installed on your ipad.

You can also click on the Download on the App Store button to install Lync 2013, and the OneNote application.
