General Safety and Health
Environmental Health and Safety promotes the general safety and health of the LSUHSC community via the development of program policies and procedures used to identify, evaluate and eliminate workplace hazards that can cause illnesses or injuries. These programs reflect the current standard for safe and healthy work environments. Awareness of the programs is promoted through regular training and compliance with their requirements monitored through routine workplace inspections performed by department personnel and Environmental Health and Safety staff. References found at this page include many of the regulatory and consensus standards and guidelines that are used as drivers for University program policies and procedures.
