The Office of Facility Planning and Control has
published the bid advertisements for the project to
make permanent repairs to the 1st Floor
of the Dental School Administration Building. The contract will restore the food service
area and create enhanced seating and study areas. The Dental Bookstore will remain in its
current location instead of being moved back to the
pre-Katrina 1st Floor location which will
allow a new coffee kiosk to be provided. Much of the 1st Floor space will
remain open for use by faculty, staff and students
when the food services are not in operation and
after normal working hours and wireless Internet
connectivity will be available. The bids are scheduled to be opened on
October 13, 2011.
