1542 TULANE AVE. :

  • The general contractor continued work on the floor of Room 545 and the installation of ceiling grid in the hallways.
  • The construction cleaning contractor continued cleaning restrooms on all floors and commenced cleaning stairwells.
  • The electrical contractor continued installing new light fixtures in the front hallway on the 6th Floor.
  • The elevator contractor removed the protective film on Elevator 7.
  • The furniture vendor continued installing built-in cabinets in the lounge on 7th Floor.
  • The network wiring contractor continued new data wiring on the 6th Floor.
  • The painting contractor painted the ceiling support bases for the new light fixtures in the 1st Floor lobby.
  • Window glass contractor replaced the broken window in the 7th Floor lounge and several windows on the 3rd and 4th Floors.
  • Facility Services continued minor repairs on various floors.

 

DENTAL CAMPUS AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS

  • The general contractor poured concrete for the riser seating in Auditorium B and entry stairs in Auditorium A. 
  • The electrical contractor started running conduit from the electrical room to the AV room. 

 

EXTERIOR/LANDSCAPING:

  • Facility Services tested the sprinkler operation for the landscaping in front of 1542 Tulane Avenue .

 

DENTAL SCHOOL 6th & 8th FLOOR LAB RENOVATIONS:

  • The general contractor framed the main doorway for Suite 8405 and framed the exterior windows. 

 

LIBRARY COMMONS

  • The contractor started installation of the ceiling grid in the smaller multimedia room.
  • Siemens ran poly tubing to the thermostat locations.    

 

LIONS/LSU CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:

  • LSUHSC has been granted beneficial occupancy of the laboratory that was relocated from the 6th Floor to make room for the Cohn Learning Center .  This means that lab operations can be moved into the space and research activities can begin.
  • The mechanical subcontractor insulated chilled and heating hot water lines on the east side of the 1st Floor.
    • They finished tying in the supply and outside air duct on the west side of the 1st Floor.
    • Pipe for the new medical air and vacuum is being installed on the 2nd Floor.
    • Crews continue to install the exhaust lines for the med gas bottle room on the 6th Floor.
  • The electrical subcontractor pulled ground wire for the cable tray and switchgear.
    • They ran the feeders into the new switchgear on the 2nd Floor.
    • They installed wire for the fire alarm devices on the south side of the 6th Floor.
  • The iron subcontractor finished welding the granite curtain wall brackets on the exterior stairwell tower.
  • The fireproofing subcontractor primed welds on the 3rd – 6th Floors of the stairwell tower.
  • The contractor grouted restroom wall tiles on the east side of the 6th Floor.
    • They continued installing CMU on the 1st Floor, southeast corner.

 

MEB 2nd FLOOR RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor finished placing sheetrock on the interior walls by Medical Center Stores.

 

RESIDENCE HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:

  • The contractor installed plywood on the exterior temporary wall, which will remain in place while the old curtain wall is removed and the new curtain wall is installed.
  • The contractor removed existing 2x4 light fixtures and wall mount light fixtures from the Perdido St. and Bolivar St. corner.
