NOTICE:On Thursday and Friday, February 19th and
20th, from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm, an exterior elevator will be installed at the
Allied Health/Nursing Building at the loading dock driveway near South Roman St .The South
Roman St. end of the loading dock driveway between
the Medical Education Building
and the Allied Health/Nursing Building will be blocked during the entire
installation.This exterior elevator
will be used by the contractor who will be replacing the roof on the Allied
Health/Nursing Building.
At various times throughout the day, the contractor will drill into the wall of the southeast stairwell (near South Roman St. and the MEB loading dock).The contractor will drill a total of six holes.The drilling will last approximately 5 minutes each time.Throughout the day, the contractor will also be using a sledge hammer to remove several granite sections.Please do not be alarmed by any loud banging noises or resulting vibrations from this area.
NOTICE:
There will be a domestic hot water outage at the Medical Education Building from 6:00 PM to
midnight on Friday, February 20th.During this outage, the water will be available at the faucets, but it
will not be heated.This work is needed
to repair a leak and to replace the steam shutoff valve.Since the boilers are not affected by this
outage, we will be able to maintain steam to the Clinical Sciences Research Building
autoclaves and animal care cage washers.

The general contractor continued patching holes in offices on the 2nd and 3rd Floors.
The mechanical contractor continued piping new fan coil units on the 2nd and 3rd Floors.
The painting contractor continued patching holes and priming walls in offices on the 3rd Floor.
LSUHSC Facility Services continued making repairs on the 3rd Floor, connecting electrical service for fan coil units, and installing new door hardware on the 2nd and 3rd Floors.
EXTERIOR/LANDSCAPING:
LSUHSC Facility Services laid sod on the Gravier St. side of the Resource Center .

CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The mechanical subcontractor installed fuel lines in the hallway on the 9th floor and began running the fuel line on the 1st Floor from the pipe chase.
The contractor taped and floated the hallway on the Bolivar St.side of the 6th Floor.
Crews painted the hallway on the 6th Floor, Gravier St. side and installed metal studs for the new stairwell wall on the 6th Floor, Gravier St. side.
They continued to clean the granite floor on the 1st Floor, Gravier/Bolivar St. side.
Crews also continued installing 6th Floor and roof curtain wall mullions and welding the metal roof decking on the exterior stairwell.

COMMONS:
LSUHSC electricians started installing the feature lights.
The contractor continued floating the composite wall panels.

MDL 6 RENOVATIONS:
The casework contractor installed pedestal frames for the center island.
The general contractor connected gas lines to the casework valves.

2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:
The contractor moved sprinkler pipe above the suspended ceiling; and rerouted a plumbing waste line.

PHARMACOLOGY LAB RENOVATIONS:
The contractor continued installing doorframes in the lab area.
They demolished a portion of a wall to install a new door and started painting the lab area.
The electrical contractor continued running lighting circuits in the lab area.
RESIDENCE
HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:
The interior contractor continued framing the fur down in the expanded lobby area and installing ceiling grid in the back corner of Bolivar and Perdido Street side.
The electrical subcontractor continued the electrical rough in for the expanded lobby area.
