NOTICE:The chilled water to the Clinical Education Building ( 1542 Tulane Avenue )
will be shut off at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 27th, so that repairs can be
made to the piping and isolation valves can be added.Service will be restored by midnight.During the outage there will be no air
conditioning in the building.
1542 TULANE AVE. :
The general contractor continued painting offices on the 3rd Floor and started installing ceiling tiles.
The mechanical contractor continued installing new fan coil units on the 2nd and 3rd Floors.
The parking garage contractor completed pressure washing the parking garage and began the pavement marking.
The painting contractor continued priming and painting offices on the 3rd Floor.
Facility Services continued repairs on the 1st and 3rd Floors, painting hallways on the 3rd Floor, connecting electrical service for fan coil units, and installing new door hardware on the 2nd Floor.
Facility Services removed gravel and old vegetation in the rear of the Resource Center in preparation for planting.
CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The mechanical contractor installed fuel pipes in Room 910.
The contractor painted the fur down in the computer lounge on the 6th Floor.
They installed ceiling grid on the 6th Floor, Gravier/Bolivar Street side.
A crew painted door frames on the 1st Floor, CSRB/S. Prieur Street side.
They continued to install transoms above doors and closers on the 1st Floor, CSRB side.
Crews patched the ceiling on the 1st Floor, S. Prieur Street side and installed wall tile in restrooms on the 1st Floor Bolivar/CSRB side.
They continued installing mullions and corners on the 1st through 6th Floors of the new stairwell.
The electrical contractor continued installing pipe through the roof on the 9th Floor, CSRB side.
Electricians installed wire for Stryker equipment on the CSRB side of the 6th Floor.
The contractor continued installing the black ceiling tiles in the multi-media rooms and priming the walls for wallpaper.
The contractor continued installing components of the display case in the elevator lobby.
2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:
The contractor continued priming the doors to Lecture Halls A and B and primed the doors and frames for both stairwells.
They primed the door frames for Rooms 2104, 2105A, 2106, and 2108 and installed break metal around the elevator doors.
MDL 6 RENOVATIONS:
The network wiring contractor continued running network cable throughout the MDL.
The audio visual contractor continued running wires connecting the new equipment.
The electrical contractor continued to rough-in the lab furniture receptacles.
PHARMACOLOGY LAB RENOVATIONS:
The contractor removed a portion of the exterior corridor wall for doorways in the administrative area.
HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:
The flooring contractor completed pouring the final layer of concrete for the extended lobby area.
The contractor continued installing light fixtures in the lobby between Elevators A and B.
The contractor began demolition of the ceiling in the back lobby on Perdido St. and S. Roman St .
6th & 8th FLOOR RENOVATIONS:
The contractor installed the cabinet supports for the island casework in Rooms 8405A and 8405B.
