NOTICE:  Beginning at midnight Friday, March 27th and ending by 6:00 PM on Saturday, March 28th, the chilled water at the Medical Education Building will be out of service.  This means there will be no air conditioning in the entire building.  Also, since the lab vacuum compressor is cooled by chilled water, it will have to be shut down during this chilled water outage.  This means that there will also be no vacuum available at any valve in the MEB.  Please refrain from opening any vacuum valve during this 18 hour outage.

This outage is the first phase of the MEB air handling unit replacement project.  The project will replace all original air handling units with new units.  Each floor is divided into quadrants and each quadrant is served by an air handling unit.  The first phase of the job is for the contractor to install isolation valves for each of the four risers serving the quadrants.  These risers are the pipes that provide the chilled water to the air handling units.
