NOTICE:A student parking lot improvement project
will begin on Wednesday, May 13, at the Perdido Street lot ( 1801 Perdido St. , also referred to as the
Square 440 lot). Boh Brothers will be
making repairs to the Perdido lot exit driveway. The normal exit driveway will
be closed, but the double gate truck entrance along S. Roman Street will be open for
convenient exiting. Vehicles departing the lot via this temporary exit would
make a right on S. Roman Street
and proceed down to Tulane Avenue
or turn left on Gravier Street .
The project is anticipated to be completed and the normal exit driveway
reopened on Monday, May, 18. This project is part of the University’s on-going
efforts to enhance campus safety.
1542 TULANE AVE. :
The contractor continues to prime the walls in the 1st Floor lounge.
The ceiling-mounted speaker/strobe fire alarm devices for the 1st and 2nd Floor lounges have been installed.
The flooring contractor installed VCT in the 2nd Floor lounge.
Facility Services continued making electrical repairs and painting on the 2nd Floor.
LIONS/LSU
CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The electrical contractor pulled wire from the roof to the fire pump controller.
The contractor installed window lights in the 6th Floor elevator lobby doors.
Workers installed windows lights in the new 1st Floor lobby entrance.
Crews caulked the window jambs of the new stairwell levels 4 – 6 and waterproofed the new stairwell base.
They grouted the restroom walls on the 1st Floor and painted the walls on the CSRB side of the 1st Floor.
LIBRARY
COMMONS:
The contractor installed the entrance signage.
Workers patched the sheetrock underneath the stairwell.
MEB
AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:
The contractor continued piping rooftop units one and two.
They continued making electrical connections and balancing and testing the units.
RESIDENCE
HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:
The interior contractor continued taping and floating new drywall throughout the entire lobby area.
Crews installed pendant light fixtures in the drop ceiling and ceiling grid underneath the mezzanine level between the B & C Towers .

2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:
The contractor installed wooden wall panels near the Mens restroom.

PHARMACOLOGY LAB RENOVATIONS:
The network wiring contractor continued pulling network wires in the administrative area.
ALLIED
HEALTH/NURSING BLDG. RE-ROOFING PROJECT:
The contractor started to replace the parapet wall cap along the MEB loading dock side.
CSRB
WALKWAY DOOR:
The contractor floated the automatic door threshold.
DENTAL SCHOOL
AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:
The contractor continued to rough-in chilled water piping for the 2nd Liebert unit in Room 4202B.
An additional row of ceiling tiles was installed in Auditorium B.
The electrical contractor pulled wiring for the occupancy sensors in Auditorium A.
They installed the conduit connections for the transformers and sub-panel boxes for both auditoriums.
The flooring contractor installed additional carpet for the riser seating in Auditorium A over the weekend.
Creative Presentations ran wiring for the subwoofers.
