NOTICE:  Repairs to Parking Lots 2 and 6 (between the Army Parkway entrance road and the Navy Parkway exit road) will be completed this week.  The Army Parkway entrance (main entrance for faculty, staff and students) will reopen on Monday, June 15th at 6:00 AM.  The final repair item remaining is the new concrete apron for the Navy Parkway exit (current exit onto Florida Avenue ).  The contractor will begin removing the old driveway apron on Monday at 6:00 AM.  Consequently, the Navy Parkway exit will be closed to traffic.  The Moss Street gate at the end of Campus Road will serve as the temporary exit from Monday, June 15th until Monday, June 22nd at 6:00 AM.  Detour signs will be posted to clearly indicate the route.  

 

1542 TULANE AVE. :

  • The contractor replaced the chilled water piping for the AHU in Suite 123 .
  • Facility Services applying touch-up paint in 2nd Floor offices. 
  • The networking contractor installed additional data drops for the 2nd Floor offices. 
  • The terrazzo contractor is applying the final polish on the 2nd floor.

 

LIONS/LSU CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIR AND MITIGATION:    

  • The contractor straightened the flagpoles.

 

LIONS BUILDING 8th FLOOR NETWORK CLOSET:

  • The contractor installed VCT and completed the chilled water piping.

 

RESIDENCE HALL 2ND FLOOR LOBBY EXPANSION:

  • The contractor installed sprinkler heads underneath the mezzanine level between the B & C Towers .  
  • Workers demolished a wall and removed the existing floor in the recreation room.

 

ALLIED HEALTH/NURSING RE-ROOFING PROJECT:

  • The contractor continued installing galvanized furring (hatch channel) on the parapet wall above the loading dock area.

 

LIBRARY COMMONS:

  • The contractor began finishing the sheetrock in the stairwell. 
  • LSUHSC electricians installed light fixtures in the coffee kiosk.

 

MEB AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:

  • Facility Services continues to monitor and make adjustments to the temporary air conditioning units for the 6th and 7th Floors Quadrant D.
  • The contractor began balancing AHU 6D and 7D.

 

MEB 2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor removed the storage room doorframe.

 

MEB MDL #3 RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor installed VCT tiles in the main MDL room.

 

MEB PHARMOCOLGY RENOVATION:     

  • The contractor tested fire alarm.

 

DENTAL SCHOOL AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor installed the remaining acoustical panels in Auditorium B. 
  • The mechanical contractor performed the initial start-up of the Liebert units in Room 4202B.
  • The electrical contractor programmed and wired final connections for the dimmer controls in both auditoriums. 
  • The A/V contractor pulled the wiring for the lecterns in both auditoriums.
