NOTICE: New proximity card readers have been installed in stairwell #7 of the Medical Education Building at the landings on floors 3-7.  This is the stairwell used to enter the MEB from the Bolivar Street elevated walkway.  A proximity card reader has also been installed at the entrance to the elevated walkway from the Gravier Garage/Stanislaus Hall corridor. 

  • Beginning Friday, June 26th, at 6:00 PM, these doors will remain unlocked from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. After-hours, holidays, and weekend access will require an LSUHSC ID.

 

New proximity card readers have also been installed at the Gravier Parking Garage at the following locations; the two stairwells that exit to Gravier Street , at the ground floor elevator call button near the automobile entrance and exit, and at the Claiborne lobby entrance. 

  • Beginning Friday, June 26th, at 6:00 PM, access to these doors will require an LSUHSC ID at all times.

1542 TULANE AVE. :

  • The electrical contractor installed light fixtures on the 2nd floor. 
  • The flooring contractor installed carpet on the stage in the auditorium.

 

EXTERIOR/LANDSCAPING:

  • Facility Services completed installation of irrigation piping along the Tulane Avenue side of the Roman Street Garage and continued installing irrigation piping on the Bolivar Street side.

 

LIONS/LSU CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:    

  • The contractor continued repairing the exhaust fan caps on the roof.

 

ALLIED HEALTH/NURSING RE-ROOFING PROJECT:

  • The contractor installed the sheet metal flashing along the MEB side of the roof.  

 

LIBRARY COMMONS:

  • The contractor continued installing the wall covering in the stairwell.

 

RESIDENCE HALL 2nd FLOOR LOBBY EXPANSION:

  • The contractor taped and floated walls in the recreation room. 
  • The paint contractor primed the gypsum board ceiling in the expanded lobby area.

 

MEB AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:

  • Facility Services continues to monitor and adjust the C Quadrant, 6th and 7th floor temporary units.
  • The contractor continued installing controls for air handling units 6D and 7D.
  • They continued installing ductwork, piping, and electrical for AHUs 6C and 7C.

 

MEB 2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor continued installing wood panels on the television monitor wall and the soffit above the television monitor wall. 
  • The contractor installed the 65 inch television monitor.

 

MEB MDL #3 RENOVATIONS:

  • The casework contractor continued installing frames in MDL 3. 
  • The contractor completed relocating sprinkler heads in MDL 3. 
  • Workers roughed in gas pipes for the new casework.

 

DENTAL SCHOOL AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor installed custom baseboard at the stairwell entrance in Auditorium A. 
  • The electrical contractor installed power for the A/V and access grid racks in Room 4202B. 
  • The A/V contractor installed additional A/V components for the A/V rack in room 4202B.
