The contractor filled, sanded and painted the 1st Floor medallions and applied touch-up paint to the second floor medallions.
VACUUM TANK REPLACEMENT:
The contractor installed a bypass valve for the tank located in the School of Dentistry Clinic Building basement.Work is complete except for timer installation.
CLINIC BLDG 7th FLOOR LAB RENOVATIONS:
The contractor installed electrical conduit from the electrical room to the new lab area.
They ran electrical conduit above the ceiling in the adjacent lab (Room 795).
Conduit was run from the Bolivar Street side electrical room to the new lab area.
The contractor continued removing the interior wall.
MDL 4 RENOVATIONS:
The contractor completed installing the electrical receptacles and acid waste lines in the new lab furniture.
They connected air/gas/vacuum piping for the lab furniture.
Acid waste lines were installed above the 3rd floor ceilings.
The contract is expected to be completed in last week of January.Remaining work includes:
Installing plumbing connection for the lab furniture,
Running network cable,
Closing lab furniture panels and installing countertops,
Installing the new LCD panels and controller box,
Installing new partition panels,
Installing doors in Room 4210 and painting all rooms, and
Cleaning and waxing the floors.
MORGUE HVAC UPGRADE:
The contractor connected the embalming tank relief vent to the building's acid vent piping.
Workers installed lights in the Autopsy Room.
They ran ductwork on the 1st Floor for the down-draft autopsy tables.
SEMINAR ROOMS A/V UPGRADES:
The contractor continued assembling and programming the five new podiums.
Electrical conduit was installed in Seminar Room 4.
RESOURCE CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT:
The contractor finished installing the metal panels around the main roof parapet wall.\
The metal flashing around the base of the atrium and mech./elec. equipment room penthouse was installed.
The metal wall panels near the corner of S. Prieur and Gravier Streets were installed.
Crews installed the top and bottom rails and framed the parapet wall cap for the metal panels on the Tulane Avenue stairwell penthouse parapet.
They installed the cap on the S. Prieur Street side.
Workers applied the first coat of waterproofing on the upper half of the concrete walls surrounding the mechanical equipment platform and applied the first coat of waterproofing on the concrete penthouse walls along Gravier Street and Tulane Avenue .
Facility Services staff applied the 2nd coat of epoxy to the walkway ramp.
