Welcome to the LSU
Health Sciences Center New Orleans Office of Research Services. We are
located on the 2nd floor of the LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans
Library, Administration and Resource Center at 433 Bolivar Street, New
Orleans LA 70112.
In addition to assisting investigators in identifying funding
opportunities, the Office of Research Services of LSU Health Sciences
Center in New Orleans has three main responsibilities:
1. Management of pre-award,
sponsored project activity. This includes evaluation and routing for
signatures all grant applications, research agreements, and clinical
trial agreements.
2. Management of the Institutional
Review Board (IRB) which provides oversight for the protection of human
subjects used in research.
3. Management of the Institutional
Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) which provides oversight for the
welfare of animals used in research.
