Originally the LSUHSC Libraries' newsletter, the Library Bulletin was published as a list of recently purchased materials. In 1961, Library Director John P. Isché (for whom the Resource Center Library is named) began including a "Library Yak" column with the list of recent acquisitions. His column traced the history and evolution of the Library and the Medical Center. In 1988 the Library suspended the publication of the newsletter due to increasing printing and distribution costs. Publishing was resumed in the Fall of 1998.
