The Log In Screen
| Name: Type your name: Last, First. Use your full name, not an abbreviation. Put a space or a comma between your names Library Barcode Number: Barcodes are a 14 digit number located on the back of your LSUHSC ID. Type in the number with no spaces. PIN: Enter your PIN. PIN is created the first time you log in off campus. If you don't have a PIN leave it blank and create a new one on the next page. |

Creating a PIN
| PINs are created the first time you login off-campus. To set, leave the PIN box blank on the first screen and press "Proceed to database." The next screen lets you set a PIN. As of the latest update, a new PIN must be between 6-30 characters and must be both alpha and numeric. |

Resetting PIN
PIN numbers are encrypted.Library staff cannot tell you your PIN, but they can delete it & create a new one.
You must call the library at 504-568-6100 to reset your PIN.
Troubleshooting
Common error messages:In all cases, please contact us for further assistance.
Cannot locate patron record: Your record is no longer in the database; your record has expired; or you are not eligible for off campus access.
Hourglass image, but it never connects: System is busy; or your record may be blocked.
Invalid PIN: You mistyped or mis-remembered your PIN.
Asks for log in when you are on-campus (IP address error): Please contact the Information Technology Librarian for assistance.
