Responsible Conduct in Research

Office of Research Integrity (ORI)
- ORI promotes integrity in biomedical and behavioral research supported
by the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS). ORI monitors institutional
investigations of research misconduct and facilitates the responsible
conduct of research through educational, preventive, and regulatory
activities. The institution is required to report to ORI on a yearly
basis any presumed cases of misconduct in research that violate ORI and
institutional policy.

LSUHSC-NO Policy on Reporting Misconduct in
Research
- This policy meets federal requirements and is available in Section
10.7 of the LSUHSC-NO Faculty Handbook.

NIH Policy on Instruction in Responsible Conduct
in Research - The NIH
recently issued a notice updating their policy on instruction in the
responsible conduct of research. The notice applies to all NIH
Institutional Research Training Grants, Individual Fellowship Awards,
Career Development Awards (Institutional and Individual), Research
Education Grants, Dissertation Research Grants, or other grant programs
with a training component that requires instruction in responsible
conduct of research.
