Mail Classes

FIRST CLASS:

A letter size envelope weighing one ounce or less costs $0.44, post card $.28. For additional rate information go to: www.usps.com

PRIORITY:

Provides preferential handling. Any mail weighing up to 13 ounces sent First Class will be treated as Priority Mail. Flat rate envelopes are available for $4.90.

EXPRESS:

Next day delivery by 12 noon or 3:00 p.m. to many destinations. No extra charge for Saturdays or Sundays. Post Office to addressee cost: $13.65 up to 8 oz.

MEDIA MAIL:

Used for mailing certain items such as books, circulars, catalogs, and other printed matter.

Please contact Tyronne Calvin, Mail Services Manager @ 568-3008 for information on Bulk mailing and use of LSUHSC mail permits. Special sorting, addressing and handling are required to obtain the lowest available rates.
