Travel Card Past Due Accounts:

The Commissioner of Administration has requested agency assistance in keeping past due state sponsored VISA Travel Card accounts current. State employees are required to use this VISA (Bank of America issued) Travel Card for state sponsored travel. Bank of America provides a listing of individual cardholders with accounts that are 60 days or more past due. Upon receipt of this report, an email notification will be sent to the account holders who have past due accounts and include the appropriate Department Head, Dean, or Vice Chancellor.

One of the following e-mail messages will be used:

  1. The Louisiana Commissioner of Administration has requested our assistance in keeping the state sponsored VISA Travel Card accounts current. We have been notified by Bank of America that your VISA Travel Card account balance is 60 days past due. The Bank of America policy is to suspend charge privileges on past due accounts until the balance and penalty charges are paid. If your card has been declined recently, this is the most likely reason. Bank of America notifies this office and State Travel on all past due accounts. We appreciate your assistance in bringing your account back to a current status in a timely manner.
  2. The Louisiana Commissioner of Administration has requested our assistance in keeping the state sponsored VISA Travel Card accounts current. We have been notified by Bank of America that your VISA Travel Card account balance is past due by 90 or more days. Bank of America has revoked your card holder privileges on this account. If your card has been declined, this is the reason. Accounts that reach 91 days past due will not be reinstated.
