Marlene Bishop, MLIS, Acquisitions/Collection Development Librarian, has been appointed Chair of the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association (SCC/MLA) Bylaws Committee.

Pauline Fulda, MS, AHIP, Associate Director of the Library, has been awarded one of the 2002 Pfizer Excellence Awards (See related story).

James Hartgers, Document Delivery/Technical Services Associate, re-located to Dallas in August.

Maureen Knapp, MA joined the Library Staff in August. She is a Reference Librarian at the John P. Isché Library (Resource Center). Molly is a recent graduate of the School of Library and Information Science at the University of South Florida.

Hanna Kwasik, MLIS, Serials Librarian, presented a paper entitled "Health Sciences Libraries and Provision of Information for Nonprofessional Clients in a Technology Advanced Environment (Selected Ethical Issues)" at the Annual Meeting of the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association (SCC/MLA) in San Antonio, Texas in October.

Jennifer K. Lloyd, MLIS, Circulation/InterLibrary Loan Librarian, presented a paper entitled "The Evolution of InterLibrary Loan: One Library's Perspective" at the Annual Meeting of the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association (SCC/MLA) in San Antonio, Texas in October.

Keith Pickett joined the Library Staff in October. He is the new Document Delivery/Technical Services Associate. Keith graduated from Nicholls State University in 2000 with concentrations in Biology and Marketing.

Julie Schiavo, MLIS, Reference Librarian at the Dental Library, has been appointed Chair of the SCC/MLA Awards & Scholarship Committee.
