Library Bulletin Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Library -- New Orleans

Kathryn E. Kerdolff, MLIS, AHIP, Reference Librarian, has been named chair of the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association (SCC/MLA) Bylaws Committee.

Molly Knapp, MA, Reference Librarian, had an Electronic Resources Review on CINAHLPlus(link removed) published in the July 2006 issue of the Journal of the Medical Library Association. She was also recently featured in the Chancellor's Notes(link removed) which highlighted her Bulletin Board celebrating Black History Month.

Hanna Kwasik, MLIS, AHIP, Head Cataloger, had an article(link removed) entitled, "Strengthening professionals: a chapter-level formative evaluation of the Medical Library Association mentoring initiative" published in the January 2007 issue of the Journal of the Medical Library Association. Her co-author was Pauline Fulda former Associate Director of the Library.

Jennifer K. Lloyd, MLIS, AHIP, presented a paper entitled,"Changing Course: Katrina, LSUHSC-NO Library, and New Orleans" at the Annual Meeting of the SCC/MLA in College Station, TX in October. She was also named chair of the SCC/MLA of Awards and Scholarships Committee. Jennifer has also changed positions within the Library; she is now the Information Technology / ILL Librarian.

Kresenda Raasch rejoined the Library Staff as a Circulation Associate in January. Kressy worked in the Library until Hurricane Katrina. She has most recently been employed by Whole Foods.

Wilba Swearingen, MA, MLS, AHIP, Library Director, served as a juror on the Awards Commmittee for Medical Library Association's Fellows Program.

David Wolff, Circulation Associate, left the Library in December.
