New Search Tool: Doody's Precision Search
Do your eyes glaze over at the thought of using PubMed? Does the idea of exploding your MeSH term make you break out into hives? Have you still not found what you're looking for? It's time to try Doody's Precision Search. It's "MEDLINE®. Made Simple."
"What makes it so simple?" you ask. First, Precision Search only looks at the last 5 years of MEDLINE citations, so current information is guaranteed. Second, the interface is concise and easy to use. Enter your search terms and you're good to go. Third, focusing your search by topic is a breeze with Precision Search's specialties. Don't be frightened. These specialties truly are special. Each one was created by an expert Medline searcher (aka an awesome medical librarian). When you add one or more specialties to your search, Precision Search is able to quickly filter out unwanted citations and deliver only articles in the areas you select.
Once you've got some results, you can easily add or change your limits or revise your search. The results are faceted into topics within each specialty, so if you just want to narrow your results even further, you can.
Doody's Precision Search works with our WebBridge Link Resolver to check article availability right from the citation. Just click on 
to see if we have an article online or in print, or to borrow the article via our InterLibrary Loan service, ILLiad.
Citations can be exported to RefWorks or other citation managers, and you can even share citations on Facebook and Twitter. Creating a free profile is easy, and once you are logged in you have the added options to save citations and searches, and set email alerts.
