Search Hints:
Off Campus Access or WAM

For quick access to online journals and databases from off campus three things are necessary:

  • NAME - use the name that appears on your LSUHSC ID.
    • TIP: Enter it last name first, first name last.
    TIP: Be sure to put a space between your names.
  • LIBRARY BARCODE NUMBER - this 14 digit number is located on a sticker on the back of your LSUHSC ID
    • TIP: Do not include spaces
    TIP: To obtain a barcode, contact the Circulation Desk(link removed)
  • PIN - you create a PIN the first time you use WAM
    • TIP: Keep it less than 8 characters
    TIP: It can be letters or numbers
    TIP: Write it down! PINs are encrypted, so only you know what it is. If forgotten, PINs can be deleted by library staff.
