Kathryn E. Kerdolff, MLIS, AHIP, Reference Librarian, has renewed her membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) at the Distinguished member level.

Molly Knapp, MA, AHIP, Reference Librarian, gave birth to a son, Dax Munson, on March 9th. She was one of the instructors for an online course entitled, Get Mobilized! An introduction to mobile resources and tools in health sciences libraries to librarians nation-wide. The course began mid-July and runs through early October.

Jennifer K. Lloyd, MLIS, AHIP, Information Technology & ILL Librarian and Acting Head-Circulation, became the Communications Chair for South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association (SCC/MLA) in August, when the previous chair moved to China.

Mary L. Marix, MLS, AHIP, Reference Librarian, has renewed her membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) at the Distinguished member level.

Joseph Plummer, MA, Dental Evening Circulation Associate, left the Library in July.

Julie Schiavo, MLIS, AHIP, Dental Reference Librarian, has been elected president of the Dental Section of the Medical Library Association (MLA). She has also been accepted into this year's class at the University of Pittsburgh iSchool's Certificate of Advanced Study Program in Health Sciences Librarianship and has been granted a full scholarship from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to cover the costs for the program.

Debbie Sibley, MEd, MLS, AHIP, Acting Director, attended the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) in August in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She serves on the Standing Committee for Science and Technology Libraries.

Elizabeth A. Strother, MLS, MBA, AHIP, Head of the Dental Library, had been promoted to the rank of professor/librarian in the LSU system.
