Library Bulletin Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Library -- New Orleans

Introducing ILLiad

The LSUHSC-New Orleans Libraries have recently implemented ILLiad (link removed), a web-based interlibrary loan (ILL) management program. It features a number of convenient advantages:

  • It's speedy: library patrons can submit their ILL requests electronically.
  • It eliminates the need for paper forms.
  • It enables one-time registration: stores patrons' user info on a secure server, so there's no need to re-enter it for each request.
  • It permits web access to request forms and all submitted requests.
  • It enables request status information to be available at all times.

    • LSUHSC-New Orleans current faculty, staff, and students can log on to ILLiad (link removed) and set up an account and immediately submit requests.

    In conjunction with launching this new system, the Library is offering a twice-monthly Introduction to ILLiad class (link removed) . This course will teach patrons how to create a userid, log in to the system, and request materials. All classes are limited to LSUHSC-New Orleans current faculty, staff, and students.
