Carolyn K. Bridgewater, MLIS, MSW, Reference Librarian, has been appointed to the selection jury for the Medical Library Association's Estelle Brodman Award for the Academic Medical Librarian of the Year.

Kathryn E. Kerdolff, MLIS, AHIP, Reference Librarian, was the primary author on a poster entitled "Test the Test: A Pilot Study to Develop an Assessment Tool to Measure Medical Students' Competencies in Information Retrieval and Application Skills in Clinical Practice" presented at the Medical Library Association annual meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii in May; her co-authors were Molly Knapp (who did the actual presentation) and Richard DiCarlo, Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Education, School of Medicine.

She has been appointed to the MLA Career Development Grant Jury of the Medical Informatics section of the Medical Library Association.

Molly Knapp, MA, Reference Librarian, be promoted to the rank of Assistant Librarian/Professor as of July 1.

She also presented a paper entitled "Digitizing a Newspaper Clippings Collection: a Case Study in Small-Scale Digital Projects" at the Medical Library Association annual meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii in May; she was also the co-author and presenter for a poster entitled "Test the Test: A Pilot Study to Develop an Assessment Tool to Measure Medical Students' Competencies in Information Retrieval and Application Skills in Clinical Practice"; her co-authors were Kathy Kerdolff and Richard DiCarlo.

Molly has been appointed to the National Program Committee for the 2011 Medical Library Association Meeting in Minneapolis; she continues her work on the Social Networking Task Force whose charge has been extended for another two years.

Hanna Kwasik, MLIS, AHIP, Head Cataloger, has been appointed to the Credentialing Committee of the Medical Library Association.

Debbie Sibley, MEd, MLS, AHIP, Interim Director, has been appointed to the selection jury for the Medical Library Association's Carla J. Funk Governmental Relations Award.
