All wireless users need an LSUHSC UserID and password. All images are taken from the XP Classic View.
Steps to set up wireless access at LSUHSC-Library Intel PROSet (If this program is not your default wireless setup tool, please see the library instructions for using Windows XP or Windows Vista:
Launch
Intel PROSet software from START \ All Programs \ Intel PROSet Wireless.
At the Intel PROSet Wireless Popup select either "properties" in the top half of the window or "configure" at the bottom of the window.
At the General Settings screen, LSUHSC should appear as both the Profile and Network Name, click the Next button |

At the Security Settings screen, be certain that the following settings are correct:
Network Authentication: Open
Data Encryption: WEP
Enable 802.1x (checked)
Authentication Type: EAP-FAST
Be sure to check the Prompt for the user name and password.
Click the Next Button
The next screen will say "Done" at the top, Click OK.
PAC Authority should say "None, it will be auto provisioned." |

A pop window will appear allowing you to enter your LSUHSC USERID, domain (lsumc-master) and password. Enter your data and then click OK.
Additionally, a credentials popup will appear to accept the new PAC. Click yes. This may happen more than once. |

Troubleshooting |
| On occasion, the wireless setup is correct, but the service needs to be restarted for the new settings to take effect. Try right mouse clicking over the wireless icon in the tray (bottom right corner of your screen) and click on "repair." |

If repairing the wireless network is ineffective, try logging off your computer and logging in again.
Upon login you will be prompted for a user name and password |

| Enter your LSUHSC Network ID and current password. Leave the Domain blank. |
 |

|
| The Intel Proset wireless indicator indicates connectivity to the wireless network. Open your Internet browser to confirm. |

| You are connected!
