December
Extended Hours
Fall Exam Hours are in session once again. The John P. Isché Library will be open until 12 midnight, 7 days per week until December 21st.

Collection Access
The Dental Collection has been returned to the Dental Library.
New Library Staff
The Library is happy to welcome Sabrina Caston to the Circulation Staff of the John P. Isché Library. Sabrina will work evenings and weekends.
October
Event
On Halloween, the Isché Library will be haunted by Miss Information and Zombrarian. Come in for information, photos, and fun.
September
Longer Hours
The John P. Isché Library has expanded its hours until Midnight 5 days a week.

Online Instructions
Three sets of wireless instructions are now available for connecting to the network on campus. Versions for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Intel PROSet are all available.
Online Tutorial
The Library now offers an online tutorial to assist users with off campus access.
June
New Equipment
The Library has purchased a new microforms reader/printer; it is located in the public computer area on the 3rd floor. This new model is digital and users can opt to print directly or save the file to a jump drive.
Returning Service
The New Books Display is back! Check it out on the 3rd floor of the Isché Library.
Resource Expansion
Web of Science, the online version of Science Citation Index and Social Science Citation Index now includes more years. Science Citation Index is now available from 1900-2007 and Social Science Citation Index is now available from 1956.
Resource
Natural Standard provides access to evidence-based information about complementary and alternative therapies.
Resource
Scopus offers abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources.

Resource
CQResearcher is now availalbe via a consortial agreement with LOUIS, the Louisiana Library Network; this resource provides access to in-depth articles on timely subjects.
New Library Staff
The Library is happy to welcome Remeika Fobb-Daniels to the Circulation Staff of the John P. Isché Library. Remeika will work evenings and weekends.
Resource
Two new resources have been added to McGraw-Hill Access Collection; the Libraries now have AccessEmergency Medicine and AccessSurgery.

Medical Information Day 2007 occurred on Wednesday, April 11th. Our theme this year was Trawling for Information. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.

Bulletin Board
A new bulletin board acknowledging Jazz Appreciation Month is on view in the Library.
New Library Staff
The Library is pleased to welcome back both Debbie Sibley, Associate Director and Valerie Hernandez, Cataloging/Serials Associate. Debbie worked for LSUMC from 1978-1981. Valerie worked as a Circulation Associate at the Dental School prior to Hurricane Katrina. We are happy to welcome them both home to New Orleans.

Special Hours
Because the Atrium will be closed on Friday, March 30th, the Isché Library will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. that day to accomodate students studying for tests.

The Library has created a new section to its website which highlights the various Promotional events which it has hosted over the last few years.

The Spring issue of the Library's Newsletter is now available.

Resource
Users' Guides to the Medical Literature is an online tool to guide clinicians in the appraisal and application of evidence into their everyday practice.
Bulletin Board
The Library has created a bulletin board celebrating the achievements of African Americans in the health sciences in honor of Black History Month.

New Regular Hours
The Library has extended its regular hours until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday evenings.
Holiday Hours Posted
The Library has posted its holiday hours from Mardi Gras until Independence Day.
