Mac OS 10.3/10.4 "Tiger" Wireless Setup

ATTENTION:: We have been unable to consistently connect to LSUHSC's wireless network with Mac computers. These directions are from our current experience and are presented as information only.

All wireless users need an LSUHSC UserID and password.

1. Open Internet Connect. Click on the Airport icon in the upper right menu or open the Internet Connect application in your System/Applications folder.

2. Click on the File pull-down menu and select New 802.1X Connection. If you don’t see this option, you may already have an 802.1X connection activated. Move on to step #3.

3. You should now see a 802.1X icon in the Internet Connect window. Click this icon to setup your 802.1X wireless connection. Enter your LSUHSC user name and password. Enter LSUHSC for the Wireless Network. NOTE When your password changes you will have to enter the new one. Follow steps 1 - 3 to set your new password.
