Scope: This Guide is a selective list of resources in the LSUHSC Library that can be used to find information on various CAM, integrative, or herbal medicine topics.

Complementary and alternative medicine, as defined by NCCAM, is a group of diverse medical and health care systems, practices, and products that are not presently considered to be part of conventional medicine. Integrative medicine is the use or combination of both conventional (Western) and CAM medicine in the management of diseases and in the promotion of health.
