Locally Created Databases
Local Databases are moving to RefShare!
We are currently in the process of migrating our local databases from their old platform to RefShare.
RefShare is provided through RefWorks, LSUHSC's online bibliographic management system.
Locally Created Databases are available free to the general public. LSUHSC faculty, staff and students can sign up for a RefWorks account here, but it is not needed to use this resoruce. The following database are currently available in RefShare. Eventually all databases will be migrated.
Faculty Publications: 1998 to present - Now on RefShare!
The Faculty Publications database includes citations to papers, editorials, letters to the editor, meeting abstracts, books, and book chapters. Information in this database is retrieved from several sources, including: MEDLINE, ISI Web of Knowledge, BioMed Central, ScienceDirect, SCOPUS, and contributions directly from faculty members.

Louisiana Morbidity Report: 1967 - present - Now on RefShare!
Index of bibliographic citations to the Report. Coverage: Louisiana's health issues: prevention, incidence, surveillance and prevalence of diseases and notifiable conditions that effect the health of Louisiana's citizens.

Newspaper Clipping File: 1985 to present - Now on RefShare!
This database indexes newspaper articles (primarily from the Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA) and other regional sources) about LSUHSC Academic and the Healthcare Network, and its faculty, staff, and students. A historical newspaper clipping file (from 1933 - ) is also available.

Journal Supplemental Material: 1991 - present
This database include information on posters, pamphlets, and other ephemeral material which occasionally accompanies journals. Materials can be found by journal title in the filing cabinets on the first floor of the Library.
