In this topic the user will learn how to search for a course in the course catalog.

Click the Self Service link.

Click the Browse Course Catalog link in the Search option.

Click the Select Institution drop-down to select an Institution.

Select LSUHSC - New Orleans from the list.

Click a letter corresponding with a subject title you wish to view.  In this example you are searching for the Family Medicine course catalog.

Click the letter F

Click the FMMD - FAMILY MEDICINE link or the EXPAND ALL button to display a list of courses.

In this example click the FMMD - FAMILY MEDICINE link.

To select a course and view details, you can click the course number or the course title.

Click on the FAMILY MEDICINE link.

To view class sections, click the view class sections button.

Note: The class sections are displayed at the bottom of the page,

To view a course schedule in a different term, access the Terms Offered drop-down and select a term from the list. 

Select a term from the list then click the show sections button.

To view class details Click the section link 002M-CRQ (1831).

Click the Return to Browse Course Catalog link to return to the Course Detail page.

Click the Return to Browse Course Catalog link again to return to the Browse Catalog main page.

The Course Detail results are displayed

Section information include: Class detail link, Instructor, Dates and Status.

Class details include Meeting Information, Class Availability and Description.

The Browse Course Catalog main page is displayed.

Click the EXPAND ALL  button to display a list of courses

Click the COLLAPSE ALL button to hide the list of courses.

This completes the Browse Catalog topic.

Select LSUHSC - New Orleans from the list.
