To drill on a cell within this report, you must first enable the drilldown feature. The feature must be enabled prior to the first drill performed. The menu item should reappear each time Excel is opened in future PSDesktop sessions.

A list of available add-ins appears within Excel.

To perform a drill, select the desired cell to be drilled into by clicking once on the cell.

Only cells that contain a number, not a formula may be drilled into.

This window contains the various drills that are available for use. Press the yellow Run Drilldown button to the right of the desired drill. In this example, the Journal Drill will be selected. Note that the type displays Window so that the drill appears as a new window on the screen. This is the default. The other option is web which would run the drill report and post it to the report repository.

Once completed, the status of “SUCCESS” appears in the window. At the same time, a new Excel window is created that will display the drill results.

Click the Open button to view your drilldown information in a new excel file.

When a report is run with the output type of Window, this status window also appears. The report will open an additional window as seen in the next step.
