Processing Reports - Output type E-MAIL (User may enter text in the body of email)

In this topic you will learn an alternative method for distributing a report via email. This method allows the sender to enter text in the body of the email.

Change the Output Type on the Process Scheduler Request to Email.


The format automatically changes to XLS and a new link called Distribution appears.


Press Refresh every 15 seconds until the distribution status is posted.


Click the Excel Icon to open the attached file and review the report.

You may receive a message if the report is from not from a trusted source.


The report is processed and the system delivers an email to the specified users.

The email feature is a great tool. However, it does not allow the sender to “preview” the report output before sending it to the recipient.

Click the Type list.
Click the Web list item.
Click the Run Current Report Request button.
Click the Type list.
Click the Email list item.
Click the Distribution link.
Enter the desired information into the Email Subject field. Enter
a valid value
e.g.
"Expenses for April"

Enter the desired information into the Message Text field. Enter
a valid value
e.g.
"Please Review"

Enter the desired information into the Email Address List field. Enter
a valid value

Double-click the desired object.
