Create a RFQ from a RFQ

In this topic you will learn how to Create a RFQ from a RFQ.

Change the RFQ Reference if needed.


Click the Save button.


Change the RFQ Status to Approved.

Verify the Request For Quotes options defaults into the Copy From field. If it does not, click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Copy From field to select it.

Click the Header Details link to change the buyer if necessary. Complete the processing of the RFQ by adding vendors and dispatching.


If you wish to copy another RFQ to the same RFQ, use the following steps:

1.  Click Copy From;

2  Select Copy Method - Append to Existing RFQ;

3.  Select RFQ ID;

4.  Select Copy all Req/RFQ Lines;

5.  Click OK.


Once the RFQ is saved, the Copy From link will no longer be active. Lines and comments may be added to the RFQ.

Click the Purchasing link.
Click the Request for Quotes link.
Click the Add/Update RFQs link.
Click the Add button.
Enter the desired information into the DtTm Close field. Enter
a valid value
e.g.
"07/08/2011 12:00PM"

Click the Copy From link.
Enter the desired information into the RFQ ID field. Enter
a valid value
e.g.
"006031"
.
Click the Copy all Req/RFQ lines option.
Click the OK button.
Enter the desired information into the Reference field. Enter
a valid value
e.g.
"PRINT CARTRIDGES"

Click the Save button.
Click the Home link.
