Anatomy faculty positions, tenure and/or non-tenure, all ranks considered.  

Several positions in the tenure and non-tenure tracks at the rank of assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor are open in the Department of Anatomy at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, Louisiana. The rank and tenure eligibility are dependent upon qualifications. We are seeking individuals who can contribute to the departmental teaching and research mission in a highly team- oriented environment.

The incumbent will team teach anatomy courses using the combined methods of lecture and small group activities, including cadaveric dissection. Teaching duties may be assigned within the multiple health professional schools of the LSU Health Sciences Center (Medicine, Dentistry, Allied Health, Nursing and Graduate Studies). The incumbent will also be expected to participate in scholarly research in the fields of education, clinical sciences and/or basic sciences.  There are many collaborative research opportunities available at LSUHSC with both clinical and basic science faculty members.

  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD
  • Experience in teaching in a dissecting course in Gross Anatomy and/or Histology
