The Department of Psychiatry at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center is recruiting a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (clinical, non-tenure track); rank to be determined by experience and training. The faculty member selected will serve as a key member of Louisiana State Opioid Response (LaSOR) Grant in partnership with LDH-OBH and also work in the University Medical Center – New Orleans (UMCNO) Behavioral Health Emergency Room. The diagnosis and treatment of substance abuse disorders and dual diagnoses are recognized as a vital component of this appointment. The successful candidate will provide integrated supports and services designed to increase access to Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) services by providing a broad range of training and consultation on practice issues associated with both practice management, treatment supports, consulting and assessment. Consultation and training activities will involve collaborative activities with other Louisiana Department of Health/Office of Behavioral Health (LDH/OBH) partners on the LaSOR Hub and Spoke evidence-based intervention model. Additionally, incumbent will serve key roles in consultation and training for psychiatry residents, as well as the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship.
