Work on the permanent repairs and mitigation at the Allied Health/Nursing Building continues.  The contractor continued to insulate the new heating hot water lines.  Crews hung additional sheet rock along the MEB side of the auditorium, set electrical receptacles and installed studs for the mechanical room behind the auditorium.  Control wiring for the differential pressure sensor on the 9th Floor was run and the units were started up.   The electrical contractor continued running control wiring for the heating hot water system and conduit for electrical receptacles around the perimeter of the auditorium.  The mechanical contractor continued piping the 1st Floor air handling units and connecting heating hot water piping to the VAV boxes on the 2nd Floor.  Temperature sensors for the heating hot water lines were installed and the heating hot water system controls were programmed.  The ductwork is being installed in the 2nd Floor auditorium and the remaining offices along Gravier Street are being demolished.

The contractor terminated electrical wires at the ATS on the 2nd Floor of the elevated mechanical/electrical enclosure at the Student Residence Hall.  They continued terminating wires at the switch gear on the 2nd level.  Crews completed the asphalt paving near the C tower.   At the Resource Center, the contractor installed the card reader for the freight elevator and the state elevator inspector approved the freight elevator for normal use.  The base plates for the generator platform were installed on the roof while crews continued welding the fuel lines on the 1st Floor.

Workers relocated the transformer in the basement of the Clinical Education Building as part of the project to complete permanent repairs and mitigation at the building.  They provided a temporary feeder from the generator to the panel and removed the original feeder.  Light fixtures were removed from the transformer vault in the basement and electrical conduits were run in the basement to reroute panel X1LP1 to Room 134 on the 1st Floor.

The temporary exhaust ductwork was installed in the 1st and 2nd Floor mechanical rooms of the CSRB as the exhaust system project continues.  They re-routed fire alarm and building controls around the temporary ductwork on the 2nd Floor.  The temporary duct riser was installed on the first three floors of the building floors and crews installed the temporary duct for phase 1 on the 1st Floor.

The contractor installed reinforcing steel for the covered walkway connecting to the canopy closest to the Clinical Education Building.  Workers installed reinforcing steel at the staircase adjacent to the Lapeyre Miltenberger building.  They erected steel columns and joists for the section of walkway adjacent to the Clinical Education Building.  Workers continued erecting steel supports for the canopy and constructing the  formwork for the two staircases.

A new project to resurface the downtown campus elevated walkway with a durable surface intended to last several years has begun.  The contractor sanded the entire walkway surface and applied primer and leveling filler on the Lions/LSU Clinics Building and CSRB bridges over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.   The base coat was applied to the CSRB bridge.

A project to make repairs to the entrance and exit driveways on the Dental School campus has started.  The contractor demolished the existing concrete driveway at Army Boulevard.  They installed base course material for the new concrete driveway at Army Boulevard and began the demolition of the existing driveway at Navy Boulevard.
