We are pleased to havereceived both the approval from the State Fire Marshal and the necessary environmental clearances that will allow us toreopen the upper floors of the Medical Education Building and the Lions/LSUClinic Building on Monday, March 6th as planned! Toaddress many of the questions and matters of interest that faculty, staff andstudents may have regarding the newly reopened buildings, important informationis available through the links provided below.Here you will find Dos and Donts for each building, the status ofkey parts of the building and campus infrastructure, etc. Please review this information and familiarizeyourself with it as you prepare to reoccupy space in these two buildings.

Additionalupdates on progress to date include the following:

  • The contactor has completed the removal of all flood damaged building materials from the Dental School basement and has completing the required cleaning in those spaces. Test results confirm that it is now safe to enter the basement without wearing any personal protective gear. This contract is complete.
  • The environmental remediation contractor has cleaned the passenger elevators and passenger elevator shafts in the CSRB and the MEB. They are continuing their work on the 2nd and 4th floor of the MEB.
