NOTICE:  On Wednesday, December 17th, from 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM there will be a domestic hot water outage at the Lions/LSU Clinics Building, Allied Health and Nursing Building , Resource Center Building and Clinical Sciences Research Building .  This means there will be no hot water available at any faucets in these buildings during the outage.  This outage is needed to repair the leak in the distribution piping on the walkway.  Please do not open up any hot water faucets during the outage.

 

1542 TULANE AVE. :

  • The general contractor continued painting in Room 545 and installed ceiling tiles in the front hallway on the 5th Floor. 
  • The painting contractor continued painting the front stairwell on the Claiborne Avenue end of the front hallway.
  • Facility Services continued minor repairs on various floors.  

 

DENTAL CAMPUS AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:

  • The general contractor installed the entrance door frame to Auditorium B.  
  • The mechanical contractor continued installation of diffusers and flex duct in Auditorium B.

 

DENTAL CAMPUS 6TH AND 8TH FLOOR LAB RENOVATIONS:

  • The general contractor installed sheetrock on the interior walls in Rooms 8405D, E, and F. 
  • The electrical contractor connected the electrical circuits to the electrical panels. 

 

LIONS/LSU CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:

  • The mechanical subcontractor removed the AHU on the 6th Floor, Bolivar Street side.
  • The electrical subcontractor pulled wires for the switch gear from 1st Floor to the 2nd Floor.
  • The sprinkler contractor rerouted sprinkler pipe on the 6th Floor, S. Prieur/Gravier Street side.
  • The contractor primed the 6th Floor walls on the Gravier/Bolivar Street side.
    • They installed studs and sheetrock in the 2nd Floor mechanical room.
    • Additional floor tiles were laid in men/women bathroom on the 1st Floor, S. Prieur Street side.
    • Crews demolished concrete blocks of Elevators 1 and 4 on the 1st Floor.

 

LIBRARY COMMONS:       

  • The contractor grouted floor tiles at the Library entrance.   
  • The contractor began the installation of wood panels around the columns.
  • The contractor began installation of the coffee kiosk.     

 

MEB 2ND FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor installed the knife edge ceiling grid trim on the South Roman Street side. 

 

MEB MDL 6 RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor continued to raise the steel support for the new partition track in the MDL room.

 

RESIDENCE HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:

  • The contractor installed five vertical mullions on the single sliding door side.
