NOTICE:  The Medical Education Building Air Handling Unit Replacement project continues.  The next two air handling units to be replaced serve the Perdido/Bolivar Street corner (quadrant D) of the 4th and 5th floors.  Installation of these units will start at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 21st.

 

Facility Services needs to remove and relocate the temporary power breakers for the temporary air conditioning units that were set up for the South Roman Street/Perdido Street quadrant.  Consequently, there will be an electrical outage on Thursday, August 13th, from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM, to remove the temporary breakers.  During this outage there will be no power to equipment plugged into receptacles in labs and offices that are served out of main panels DL6B and DL7B which affects panels LB6A, LB6B, LB6C, LB6D, LB6E, LB6F, LB7A, LB7B, LB7C, LB7D, LB7E and LB7F.  Receptacles are labeled in the labs, identifying the panel that supplies the power to the receptacle. 

 

On Friday, August 14th there will be an electrical outage from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM to install temporary breakers to serve the power panels for the temporary air conditioning units in quadrant D on the 5th floor.  During this outage there will be no power to equipment plugged into receptacles in labs and offices that are served out of main panel DL5D which affects panels LD5A, LD5B, LD5C, LD5D and LD5E.  Receptacles are labeled in the labs, identifying the panel that supplies the power to the receptacle. 

 

During the continuing construction period, should there be any issue with the air conditioning in your space, please submit a service request at http://bob.lsuhsc.edu or call 568-7715 and provide your name, contact information, room number and description of the problem.  Occupants should not attempt to adjust the temporary units on their own. 

 

1542 TULANE AVE. :

  • The contractor applied the 2nd paint coat in Room 122H and in the corridor outside Room 122H.
  • Facility Services applied wood stain on the double-doors at the front of the auditorium.

 

DENTAL SCHOOL AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor removed materials staged in the elevator lobby outside of the auditoriums. 
  • The mechanical contractor balanced the HVAC in Auditorium B. 
  • The IT group powered-up the equipment installed in the Access Grid racks.

 

MEB AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:

  • Facility Services continued monitoring and adjusting the temporary A/C units in the A Quadrant (corner of South Roman Street and the MEB loading dock). 
  • The contractor continues piping heating hot water to AHU 6A.
  • Workers insulated the CHW piping at AHU 7A.
  • The electrical wiring to AHU 6A is complete.
  • The control wiring and fire alarm wiring at both AHU 6A and 7A continues.

 

MEB 7TH FLOOR PHYSIOLOGY LABS RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor taped and floated walls in Room 7221. 
  • The contractor installed sheetrock for the soffit ceiling in Rooms 7241 and 7250.

 

RESIDENCE HALL 2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:  

  • The contractor continued painting in the expanded lobby area and in the A Tower lobby area. 
  • The contractor taped and floated the new wall by the telephone panel. 
  • The network contractor continued running network wires for the floor boxes.
