While the Library’s INNOPAC system is offline for maintenance, a number of functions are affected. During this outage the catalog, off-campus access, and link resolver will be unavailable. However, here are a few ways to get the resources you need during this downtime:
- All print books and journals will be available for checkout; although we will be unable to look up holdings and call numbers, Library staff will assist you in finding the materials you need from anything that is on reserve or in the stacks.
- All online resources will be available on campus only; when viewing the available databases be sure to click the “On Campus” link:
- If you need an ebook you can use the eBooks LibGuide to find the on-campus links to the electronic books available from various publishers.
- Although it is also an option for ebooks, the E-Books & E-Journals A to Z List will allow access to the online version of the majority of journals available from the Library.
We hope the outage will not last very long, but Library staff will be ready to answer any questions you have regarding resources while this necessary maintenance is completed. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
There is a problem accessing EBSCO e-books using Firefox Web Browser. EBSCO is working to resolve it. In in the meantime, please use Internet Explorer or another browser.
All ProQuest databases will be unavailable beginning at 9pm on Saturday, February 13th, lasting until 3am on Sunday, February 14th for scheduled maintenance.
*EDIT* And the server came back online at 3:35pm
INNOPAC is currently down due to a system upgrade. It should be back up shortly.
The Network Center in Baton Rouge unexpectedly lost power around 7:30 am this morning. Systems have been slowly coming back online as the IT department finds alternatives. Full power will not be restored until the end of the day (fingers crossed).
At this moment, we do not have access to our online catalog, INNOPAC, but the Libraries’ webpages have been restored. Please contact us for work arounds.
Our chat and email services do seem to be back up. And telephone service was unaffected.
UPDATE: These journals are available now, but please let us know if you have any trouble.
All journals we receive through the JAMA Network are currently unavailable. We will update as soon as the issue has been resolved.
If you need any other assistance, please contact us.
UPDATE: The link resolver is now working correctly in PubMed. However, please let us know if you have any problems or need any other help.
There is a system-wide problem that causing the link resolver to be unavailable in PubMed. If you need to search MEDLINE and wish to use our link resolver to check the availability of an article, you can do so either through Ovid or EBSCOhost.
If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
UPDATE: The earlier problems accessing PubMed have been resolved. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you are still having troubles with this or any other Library resource.
We are currently experiencing problems accessing PubMed both on- and off-campus. In addition, the WebBridge Link Resolver is not working from PubMed, so you will not see links to articles when you check the availability from the citations.
If you wish to continue searching PubMed, you will need to check for the availability of articles by looking up the journal titles in the Library’s catalog, INNOPAC.
The link resolver is still working correctly in other databases that also search MEDLINE. You can search Ovid or MEDLINE through EBSCOhost, and you will see any available links to the articles in the citations when you click the “Check Full Text” link.
We will update as soon as we have more information. If you need any more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Although the previous problems with the E-Journals & E-Books A to Z List were thought to have been fixed, they are still lingering today with the list being unavailable or running slow. There is no estimate as to when the issues will be resolved.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
