Pfizer COVID vaccine

LSU Health New Orleans COVID Vaccination Clinic initiates the vaccination series for individuals ages 12 and up with the Pfizer vaccine and gives a booster vaccination to individuals ages 12 and up at least 5 months after completing the 2-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine primary series and 2 months after receiving the 1-dose J&J vaccine. Adults ages 50+ can choose to receive a second booster at least 4 months after their first booster. Anyone over the age of 12 who is immunocompromised may now also receive an additional booster injection. Previously, immunocompromised individuals were eligible for an additional (third) mRNA primary series dose and one booster dose (4 total doses). Now, immunocompromised individuals 12 and up are eligible for a second booster, or a fifth total dose.
