In this topic you will learn how to Create a Position.
Click the Main Menu link
Point to the Organizational Development menu.
Point to the Position Management menu.
Point to the Maintain Positions/Budgets menu.
Click the Add/Update Position Info menu.
Click the Add a New Value tab.
Click the Add button.
Enter the desired information into the Job Code field. Enter "404".
Click the Look up Department button.
Click the Look Up button.
Click the Information Technology-Adminis link in the Search Results list.
Click the Look up Location button.
Click the Specific Information tab.
Click the Position Attributes tab.
Note: A new Position Number is assigned and changes from 00000000 to 00049728 after a successful save.
Click the Training Series Indicator option.
Click the Save button.
Enter the desired information into the FTE (Full Time Equivalent) field. Enter "1".
Click the Adds to FTE Actual Count option.
NOTE: The Classified Indicator field defaults as "Classified". This option will need to be changed if the position is Unclassified.
Click the Look up Business Unit button to select the business unit.
Click the LSUNO link.
Click the COMPUTER SERVICES link from the search results.
Note: Check the Reg/Temp field to make sure the correct option is selected for the position.
Click the Reg/Temp drop-down and select from the list.
Note: Check the Full/Part Time field to make sure the correct option is selected for the position.
Select an option from the drop-down list.
Note: Check the FLSA Status field to make sure the correct option is selected for the position.
Click the FLSA Status list.
Click the Nonexempt list item.
This completes Create a Position.
Enter the desired information into the Job Code field. Enter a valid value e.g. "404".
Enter the desired information into the FTE (Full Time Equivalent) field. Enter a valid value e.g. "1".
Click the Nonexempt list item.
