Record a General Deduction


In this topic you will learn how to Record a General Deduction.


Steps:

  1. Click the Main Menu button.

    Step 1
  2. Click the Payroll for North America link.

    Step 2
  3. Click the Employee Pay Data USA link.

    Step 3
  4. Click the Deductions link.

    Step 4
  5. Click the Create General Deductions link.

    Step 5
  6. Enter the desired information into the Empl ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "7 - digit Employee ID Number"
    .

    Step 6
  7. Click the Search button.

    Step 7
  8. Click the Look up Deduction Code button.

    Step 8
  9. Click the Down button of the scrollbar.

    Step 9
  10. Click the GAR001 - GARNISHMENT link.

    Step 10
  11. The Effective Date will be the beginning date of the next pay period.

     

    Click the Choose a date button.

    Step 11
  12. Click the desired date.

    Step 12
  13. Click the Save button.

    Step 13
