In this topic you will learn how to Create Supervisor Evaluation.
Action Step 1
Review the employee's Self-Assessment of his/her performance for the evaluation period.
Action Step 2
Review any Progress Notes captured throughout the evaluation period. The number of Progress Notes available is displayed to the right of the link title. In this example there is one (1).
Review Progress Note information.
NOTE: The (2) next to the Home link indicates there are two Action Items requiring attention.
Click the Down button of the scrollbar to view Institutional Competencies.
Click the Down button of the scrollbar to view additional Institutional Competencies. The employee must be rated on each Competency before proceeding to the next step.
Click the Down button of the scrollbar to view Individual Goals.
Click the Down button of the scrollbar to view the Professional Development Plan.
Click the Down button of the scrollbar to view the Resources page.
There are six (6) Action Steps associated with creating an Evaluation. The steps are outlined in the blue box.
Review employee comments on how s/he demonstrated through his/her performance the Institutional Competencies over the last year. Also note status of Goals and progress with Development Plan.
Action Step 3
There are six (6) Institutional Competencies for employees and seven (7) for supervisors. An evaluative rating, with supporting comments, will be provided for each competency.
NOTE: Highly Effective and Not Effective ratings require supporting documentation.
You will select the appropriate Rating from the drop-down list.
Supporting comments not only provide written feedback to the employee on how s/he demonstrated the competency throughout the period, but also provides a platform for open communication.
You will select the appropriate Goal Status from the drop-down list.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide the employee with your outlook, in writing, regarding their individual goals.
Written comments on the Development Plan delivers the Supervisor's viewpoint to the employee toward plan goals and an opportunity for open dialogue.
