Career Opportunities - Assistant/Associate Professor

LSU Health in Shreveport, Louisiana seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible (BC/BE) Child Neurologist to join our outstanding Neurology department and dynamic team. Open to BC/BE Child Neurologists with a commitment to both patient care and academic growth. The successful candidate will join two other Pediatric Neurology faculty members and contribute to our expanding pediatric neurology program. Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position.  The work hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality clinical care to pediatric patients with neurological conditions in outpatient and inpatient pediatric neurology.
• Medical student and Neurology resident education, including supervision in clinics, grand rounds, and didactic conferences.
• Participation in departmental activities and contributing to the growth of the Child Neurology Division.
• Mentoring and providing clinical expertise to faculty and residents.

• NAEC level 4-accredited Adult and Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with an Epilepsy Surgery program
• Certified Sleep Lab with fellowship program.
• Dedicated Women’s and Children’s Center for comprehensive hospital based pediatric care.

• Medical Degree or foreign equivalent

• Neurology board certified/eligible
• Must be qualified for a Louisiana medical license.

Salary Range: Competitive salary package, including a guaranteed base salary. Supplemental pay based on productivity and potential grant funding.
