LSU Health in Shreveport, Louisiana seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible (BC/BE) Child Neurologist to join our outstanding Neurology department and dynamic team. Open to BC/BE Child Neurologists with a commitment to both patient care and academic growth. The successful candidate will join two other Pediatric Neurology faculty members and contribute to our expanding pediatric neurology program. J-1 visa sponsorship is available. Opportunities for academic and professional development.

Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position.  The work hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality clinical care to pediatric patients with neurological conditions in outpatient and inpatient pediatric neurology.
  • Medical student and Neurology resident education, including supervision in clinics, grand rounds, and didactic conferences.
  • Participation in departmental activities and contributing to the growth of the Child Neurology Division.
  • Mentoring and providing clinical expertise to faculty and residents.

Resources & Facilities:

  • NAEC level 4-accredited Adult and Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with an Epilepsy Surgery program
  • Certified Sleep Lab with fellowship program.
  • Dedicated Women’s and Children’s Center for comprehensive hospital based pediatric care.

The applicant must meet the following: 

  • Medical Degree or foreign equivalent
  • Neurology board certified/eligible
  • Must be qualified for a Louisiana medical license.

Salary Range: Competitive salary package, including a guaranteed base salary. Supplemental pay based on productivity and potential grant funding.

Primary Location: Shreveport, LA (on-site location)
