The Division of Research in the Department of Pathology and Translational Pathobiology at LSU Health Shreveport (https://shorturl.at/8pTkM) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The faculty member will join an internationally recognized research group with close ties to the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences (https://shorturl.at/sFtCf). Investigators within the Pathology Department and cardiovascular center focus on diverse research areas, including atherosclerotic plaque formation, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis, heart failure, neurovascular function/stroke, peripheral artery disease, diabetes, and microvascular dysfunction.
Successful candidates will be expected to establish a dynamic, extramurally-funded research program addressing fundamental questions in cardiovascular or cardiometabolic disease while participating in the teaching mission of Department. They will have access to state of the art core facilities and access to intramural research funding through the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences.
