LSU Health Shreveport is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated academic Otolaryngologist specializing in Head and Neck Surgery to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and develop their academic career in a vibrant and collaborative academic health science center. This position is available at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. The Department of Otolaryngology at LSU Health Shreveport boasts a robust residency program and a Head and Neck Fellowship, providing a rich academic environment for both clinical practice and educational leadership.
Clinical duties will include, but not be limited to, providing inpatient and outpatient clinical services to and developing a robust practice in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery covering call in rotation with fellow faculty members. Your work locations will include Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana in Shreveport, Bossier City and Monroe as well as any other locations that the department covers. You must maintain your ability to perform clinical duties at Ochsner LSU Health System. Loss of privileges to practice at OLHS shall constitute cause and may result in termination of employment.
You will be expected to fulfill your teaching/educational obligations throughout your employment at LSUHSC-Shreveport. Your responsibilities will include the responsibility as co-director of the Head and Neck Surgery Fellowship Program including teaching fellows, residents, and students.
Expected to engage in scholarly activity including publications, have an active interest in research, and assist and engage fellows, residents and students with research projects.
