The position will work in a managerial capacity for the Graduate Medical Education Department. The person is to function as an Operations liaison for the department and oversee the management of the department as directed by the Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education and VA Affairs/DIO or his/her designee. The incumbent shall coordinate all the operational aspects of the department. An extensive knowledge of the rules and requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the Residency Review Committee, the National Residency Match Program (NRMP), and IRIS Medicaid Reimbursement, as well as institution-specific and department-specific regulations is imperative in the successful performance of the position. The individual must have good management, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a strong ability to think critically. A high level of technical computer skills is also required to maintain database for organization reimbursement. The individual must be able to work independently and to establish priorities for the on-going work of this office. Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. Incumbent will maintain a customer-oriented awareness in acknowledging and responding to needs as they occur that customer satisfaction is met at all times.
