The Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Shreveport is seeking a motivated and skilled Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join our research program in skull base and cerebrovascular neurosurgery. This fellowship provides an outstanding opportunity for candidates interested in advancing clinical and translational research in complex cranial surgery, vascular pathology, and microsurgical innovation.
The fellow will work closely with attending neurosurgeons and faculty researchers on a variety of clinical projects, including outcomes analysis, surgical technique refinement, and studies focusing on cerebrovascular disorders (such as aneurysms, AVMs, and bypass surgery) and skull base tumors (including meningiomas, schwannomas, and chordomas).

The position offers comprehensive mentorship and support for fellows interested in pursuing future clinical or academic careers in neurosurgery. Opportunities for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and for authorship on multiple publications will be available. The PI will provide all training as well as support in applying for extramural and intramural postdoctoral fellowships. Salary will adhere to NIH guidelines.
