Many thanks to the teams who participated in the LSUHSC Staff Senate Scarecrow Decorating Contest and all the staff members who participated in the sock drive for the Harry Thomson Center. Your efforts have made a significant impact as we collected 381 pairs of socks and an assortment of toothbrushes, mouthwash, vinyl gloves, and razors.

The Scarecrow Decorating Contest is officially open for voting—now through 11:59 PM Thursday, November 20!

Ten fearless teams went head-to-head in three epic categories:

• Best Healthcare (because even scarecrows need good bedside manners)
• Best Fall/Harvest (pumpkin spice and everything nice)
• Most Creative/Funniest (where the hay really hits the fan)

These scarecrows aren’t just standing around—they’re serving looks! A photo of each scarecrow is on the ballot. The ballot photos are great, but the in-person details – next-level straw couture. Before voting, we highly recommend visiting the scarecrows in person to fully appreciate the creativity and detail put forth by each team (a list of the team names and locations is at the bottom of this email). If you don’t have time to visit, attached to this email is a PDF with a page-sized image of each scarecrow, which displays more detail than the ballot photos.
